Henry and Joe's to close
Henry and Joe’s in Newbury has announced it will sadly be closing its doors for the final time at the end of August after five years.
The town of Newbury in West Berkshire is losing one of its own at the end of August. Henry & Joe’s has recently announced it will be closing its doors for the final time on 27th August.
The cosy, welcoming bistro in the heart of Newbury has been serving modern British food for five years.
Henry (Chef Patron) and Joe (General Manager) have welcomed diners into their restaurant, for whom many have considered as “a home away from home.”
The duo said in a statement released on their website: “After five wonderful years we have taken the decision not to renew our lease at 17 Cheap Street. For many this may come as a surprise, however rest assured this was never a decision made lightly.
“For all the support you have shown us over the years, we cannot THANK YOU enough.”
What started as a shared dream discussed at length over coffee and cigarettes in a shed at the Royal Oak in Yattendon became a reality for the local duo in November 2017.
You can show your support to the guys (and try their exceptional food and hospitality) by booking a table via the button below before the close in August.
