Edinburgh best for vegans

Edinburgh has topped a recent poll as the best city in the UK for vegans, with a whopping 642 vegan-friendly restaurants and 42 delivery options offering delicious plant-based food delivered straight to your door.

University news blog, Student Beans, has conducted a study to uncover the best cities in the UK for vegans. From the number of vegan-friendly restaurants available to the average cost of vegan food in the area, every aspect of vegan eating has been considered.

Taking the crown of the most vegan-friendly city 2022 is Edinburgh, with Glasgow coming in at number four, Manchester in ninth place and Bristol 16th.

The Edinburgh Evening News has also recently published its 15 best vegan restaurants in Edinburgh, which has included Paradise Palms and Harmonium.

Paradise Palms is an LGBTQ friendly venue with an award-winning vegetarian kitchen, Lucky Pig. This place dishes up some of the best vegan and veggie soul food in the land, while the bar has a changing menu of tropical libations and extensive back bar to suit all palates.

Open until 1am every night, this is the place to come for vegan soul food and somewhere to dance and shop, thanks to Paradise Palms Records and the Palms Local Shop.

If you’re looking for somewhere with good booze, great food and nice vibes, Harmonium is the one. Described simply as “incredible”, Harmonium can be found on East London Street. The vegan bar and kitchen serves homemade pizzas, burgers, and “unforgettable” desserts.
