Wanting to celebrate your hen do by doing something out of the box? Then head to Token: a multi-award-winning restaurant, bar, arcade and pinball parlour! At Token there are over 40 machines, three bars and an extensive food and drinks menu. After you’ve exhausted the arcade (Pac-Man? Yes please!) and let your inner child loose, replenish your energy with some homemade nosh. From vegan macaroni cheese and veggie katsu curry, to chicken tenders with Gorgonzola mayo, there’s plenty to choose from. Wash it all down with a tasty cocktail – or ‘pygtail’ as they’re known – like Hot Lips (complete with tequila, charred pineapple, habanero, and lime), and let the good times roll.

For the most sophisticated of hen do celebrations, head to Parlour at Haddington House, where you can indulge in stunning afternoon tea or enjoy an expertly prepared cocktail at the bar. The afternoon tea is available each weekend between 12:30pm and 4pm, and is located in the pretty parlour room, which has retained many of its original features from the 1900s. Expect delicate cakes, tasty savoury bites and warm, freshly baked scones. Alternatively, treat yourself and the girls to a drink at the bar, where you’ll be treated like royalty. The Guinness Storehouse
cuisinesBrewery, Bar

This is for the bride-to-be who is looking for a very Irish celebration. The Guinness Storehouse allows visitors to experience the history, heart and soul of Ireland’s most iconic beer. Here, you and your friends can explore the story of Guinness across seven floors of the Storehouse’s iconic building, before taking in the 360º views of Dublin City from the Gravity Bar. The views at the top are truly breathtaking and the tour itself is fun and educational. After your tipple amongst the clouds, head back down the brasserie where you’ll find a whole host of tasty treats like oysters, flatbreads and even Guinness chocolate mousse – yum!

What’s a hen do without (at least one) boozy brunch? For the best in town, head to Wigwam where you’ll be treated to top-notch drinks and food all morning and afternoon. For just €35 you can select three cocktails from the menu (highlights including the rum mimosas and zingy margaritas), as well as any brunch plate. What a bargain! We love the buttermilk chicken and waffles (served with maple syrup and green mayo), but for something lighter, the açai granola bowl will hit the spot. The atmosphere is always buzzing and the staff are super friendly. Not to be missed.
