Dublin’s go-to vegan places

Vegan restaurants and options have never been more widespread. Nearly every food joint in every major city will offer you vegetarian or vegan options, and Dublin is no stranger to exclusively vegan diners. As veganism grew from a trend, to being understood as a more sustainable way of living, Dublin’s vegan dining scene became more populated. Today, we’re left with a plethora of vegan options in Ireland’s capital city. This Dish Cult guide breaks down some of the best vegan restaurants in Dublin – let’s go!

Veggie Vibes Café
cuisinesVegan, European, International

The Blackrock Market about 20 minutes from Dublin City is brimming with some of the city’s hidden gems. Veggie Vibes is certainly one of the market’s most celebrated restaurants. A minimalist décor is matched with some European style outdoor dining. Veggie Vibes bring a unique vegan brunch box from 12-7pm Thursday through to Sunday. The brunch boxes come in an array of styles from European and world cuisines. If you’re looking to set yourself up for the day, why not try the all-day full Irish vegan breakfast? It features vegan soya breakfast sausages, scrambled tofu with spices, avocado and more, on a toasted focaccia bread. An early bird dinner is also an option with Veggie Vibes, with vegan burgers and vegan hot dogs up for grabs.

V-Face is Dublin’s only burger joint which serves exclusively plant-based burgers and sides. Located in the village of Stoneybatter, praised in Lonely Planet’s 10 coolest places to live in the world, V-Face certainly matches the vibe. With all ingredients locally sourced, they live for sustainability in V-Face. The burger menu is among the best in Dublin, featuring the Mac D Lad for €13.50. It’s a vegan Big Mac, made using a smashed Beyond patty and “all the love” a regular Big Mac gets. We’d highly recommend the Smoke Show for €13. A smashed Beyond patty layered in two with pink garlic mayo, smoked cheese, chipotle salsa, shredded lettuce, diced beef tomatoes, and a giant homemade onion ring. Paired with a ‘Kimchi Bomb’, loaded fries with kimchi, lime drizzle, sriracha, two types of cheese, mashed avocado and sesame seeds, you’ll end up with the ultimate vegan burger experience.

Blazing Salads
cuisinesVegetarian Friendly, Cafe, Deli

With a city centre location, Blazing Salads is Ireland’s Finest Independent Award-Winning Wholefood, Vegan, and Vegetarian Deli. Established in 2000, the Drury Street deli has curated a menu which suits those searching for veggie and vegan options while on an office lunch break. Blazing Salads offer seasonal menus, with food for collection available Tuesday-Saturday. If you’re looking for a winter warmer, try the Tuscan White Bean and Veg Soup. A smooth soup filled with lovely cauliflower and cashew nuts, organic sweet curry powder, and turmeric. Blended with organic coconut milk until creamy – mmm. If you’re looking for something substantial though, we’d recommend organic brown rice with tofu, garden peas, and a soya ginger dressing. Because of the locally sourced goods made on sight, much of the daily menu falls below the €10 mark. Good for the heart and the wallet!

When it comes to vegan dining in Dublin, one iconic spot you simply can’t miss is the fantastic Cornucopia Wholefoods Restaurant on Wicklow Street in the city centre.
