You can find it all here: drinks on panoramic rooftops, trendy cocktail spots as well as bars with excellent food that mean you can well and truly make a night of it. Whether it’s for a late-night tipple, a drink after work, an intimate date night or simply to celebrate getting through another week, there are no shortage of options in this glitzy precinct.
Fancy sipping heady cocktails while marvelling at the sunset over Sydney Harbour? Smoke Bar is on the rooftop of the iconic Barangaroo House which makes it the perfect venue for a romantic date or a swanky Sydney night out.
Start off strong with the signature cocktails, including the zesty Mai Thai (Bacardi, coconut, citrus, chili and coriander) or the Geisha Negroni (green tea-inspired gin, jasmine, martini, suze gentian). The creative menu offers a small repertoire of sharing plates featuring dishes such as rock oysters, cured Kingfish, grilled scallops, steak katsu sando, and a selection of cheese and cured meats. Now all you have to do is get there in time for the sunset!

When you take in Louis Armstrong’s music playing in the background, smoked meats and classic American cocktails, NOLA Smokehouse and Bar will transport you to the Louisiana of old. This upscale venue with sweeping views of Darling Harbour pays homage to New Orleans and its laid back Southern hospitality.
The wrought-iron bar holds a massive collection of American whiskies and a line-up of Southern comfort cocktails. Savour the original or modern sazerac – one of the great gifts New Orleans has given to the world – or the signature cocktails such as St Louis Soar (bourbon, maple syrup, lemon). Food-wise, the menu here features share plates and mains including lamb, pork sausage, brisket, and chicken for all you hungry souls.

Untied. With lush greenery everywhere you look, this northern Queensland tropical themed bar was Barangaroo’s very first rooftop venue.
Date night will never be the same again with the Frosé Your Way bar. Here you can pour your own frozen cocktails and top them with a selection of sweet treats – and did we mention it’s bottomless? Give their playful cocktail menu a whirl and settle in with concoctions like the Flamin’ Galah (gin, ginger soda, watermelon, and lime juice). If you’re hungry, don’t sweat it – the food menu here is a mix of seafood, BBQ, and Asian-accented platters such as satay-styled mussels and tofu noodles.

A CBD oasis for the after-work crowd, House Bar on the ground level of Barangaroo House is the ultimate hangout spot when you’re looking to knock back a quick beer or indulge in a bout of people-watching.
The bar extends to a charming beer garden wrapping around this iconic buzzy spot, and the insides are modern and timeless filled with leather and polished wood decor.
Celebrate with pocket-friendly wines, beers, and signature cocktails such as Frozen pina colada or Classic paloma. The food menu is sparse but covers comfort food such as grilled flatbread, salt and pepper calamari, karaage chicken, soba noodles and chicken katsu burger.

Come to Shirt Bar for fine whiskies and delicious charcuterie boards, and stay for an impromptu bespoke suit-measuring while you’re at it.
This part-restaurant, part-bespoke tailor boasts an impressive 150 whiskies on the menu and is the only place of its kind around. If whisky is not your thing, opt for the extensive selection of imported beers and wines or try their signature cocktails such as Palermo (tequila, chili, grapefruit) and Ship wright (gin, vermentino botrytis, orange bitters).
With a menu featuring Italian and contemporary Australian favourites such as risotto, ricotta gnocchi, fried calamari, grilled king prawns and quail pancetta – you know you can’t go wrong with either suits nor drinks at this buzzy spot.
