The ambience feels relaxed, laid-back, with an impending promise of a great meal to be had. Picture the cosiness of neighbourhood bistro, with the elevated grace of a upscale steakhouse.

Cutler is predominantly a steak and seafood house, with a few surprises along the way.
Your first decision at Cutler is whether to opt for the set menu or a la carte. With the set menu, you’re offered a 2-course or 3-course meal with starters, mains, and desserts chosen from the menu. Otherwise, go wild with a la carte and order as much as your heart desires.
To begin, the starters dabble with classic dishes such as bread and chefs butter, braised lamb croquettes, chicken liver parfait with candied walnuts, and spiced butternut squash, before it dips into a few more adventurous dishes for those so inclined. Try some Wood pigeon with wild mushrooms, celeriac purée, hens egg yolk, pickled and cured mackerel with shallots, dill emulsion, pickled mustard seed, or Orkney mussels in a white wine sauce.
Moving on, you’ll find the main seafood section of the menu. Cod fillet, beer battered haddock, the catch of the day, and the grand finale, a half or whole lobster straight from the grill, served with Café de Paris or garlic butter and skinny fries. Arriving succulent and perfectly cooked and seasoned, Cutler have nailed seafood in the heart of the city.

If it’s a juicy steak you’re after, you’re at the right place. The From The Grill section of the menu details a variety of cuts for you to choose from, all served with a potato side (we’ll take the truffle and parmesan fries, please!) and a delectable sauce with choices including a creamy peppercorn, béarnaise butter, garlic butter, chimichurri, or beef jus. Add on a couple of sides such as their onion rings, mac and cheese, or cauliflower cheese and you’re all set for an unforgettable meal.
Make it a family affair and bring the kids – Cutler has a special menu for the little ‘uns, including their very own steak and skinny fries, fish goujons, mac and cheese, and sticky toffee pudding.

In such a relaxed environment, you’re going to want to complement the vibes with a drink or two – which Cutler is more than prepared for. Seperate cocktail and wine menus are presented, with the former laden with classics such as the cosmopolitan, bramble, old fashioned, espresso martini, and French martini. Cutler also has a genre of their own signature cocktails, including their Perfect Storm with Roku gin, Bacardi Raspberry, crème de cacao blanco, lemon juice, vanilla syrup, and Prosecco, the Lobsters Claw with Maraschino, Patron Silver tequila, Triple sec, lime, sugar, cherry syrup, and the Golden Galleon with Dewars Caribbean Cask, Bacardi Coconut, pineapple, lime, sugar, bitters, and ginger beer.
Over on the wine list, there’s plenty to select from, dividing the menu into sparklings and Champagne, whites, reds, roses, dessert wines and port. Boasting wines from across the world, you’ll find blends from New Zealand, Spain, France, the USA, Austalia, and Chile – to name a few.
