Priding themselves “on serving the best cocktails in the city” Milk Thistle is a great place for a celebratory night out. Situated in a beautiful old building, the interior of the bar is filled with quirky furniture, bright colours, and even has a huge fireplace to make you feel like you’re at a country retreat. If you’re gathering a big gang you can also book a private area for both drinks and dining; great for a party!

Sister venue to Milk Thistle, Hyde & Co is a prohibition-style bar just off Clifton Triangle. Never ones to go down the well-trodden path, you really do feel like you’re entering a speakeasy as you enter Hyde & Co. It’s dark, it’s intimate, and the cocktails are pretty impressive. Their current cocktail menu is designed to take you on a journey through 1920’s art-deco Paris via their flavours and designs – meaning the cocktails are well thought-out, with a lot of effort put into each and every martini glass. To sum it up, it’s just a really cool Bristol bar to hang out in.

With its quirky decor and comfy sofas, Cosy Club has been a local favourite for a while now. Located in a beautiful Corn Street building, step inside and you’ll be greeted by a huge ornate ceiling, old-fashioned lamps, and a riot of 1930’s colour. It’s a great place to head for both food and drinks, perfect if you need to line your stomach before a heavy one. They have a big selection of beers with choices from Budvar to Beavertown, and plenty of bubbles if you feel the need for fizz.
