Book a table for groups up to 9, or check out the Foxtail Cocktail Bar with capacity for 26 seated or 100 standing which can be hired exclusively to you. This elegant space that you enter through a secret wardrobe serves up gorgeous cocktails, and you’ll feel like royalty here.

If you’re anything like us, you get sick of dry turkey by the middle of December. So why not go all out for something totally different? This modern Chinese restaurant serves up all your favourites like sweet and sour pork, dumplings, and wontons, and has a great selection of Asian beers to wash it all down. Best of all, you can also book karaoke so the whole gang can realise their dream of becoming Mariah Carey. So we’ve brought you to Whitby’s who are holding a Christmas buffet from 22nd November to 24th December. With everything from Christmas puddings, to a carving station with honey glazed ham and turkey, this place truly is one of our favourite Christmas party venues in Wellington. And it’s located on the 17th floor of the Hotel Grand Chancellor, meaning you’re gonna be eating with some stunning views. After you’ve stuffed your face, head to their piano bar, open til late, to carry on your night. Don’t say we don’t give good gifts.

What is the festive season about if not sharing? That’s why we’ve brought you to Bambuchi, where the menu is designed to be shared by the whole group. The Asian inspired menu lets you choose from dishes like Nasi Goreng style poke bowls, fish dumplings, and baked celeriac with black beans and tofu. They take online bookings for tables up to 16, and any tables of eight or more order from the set menu which is just $45 a head – a Christmas bargain! They also do a mean line in complimentary (as in to the food, not your outfit) cocktails if you’re looking to push the boat out.
