The Fox and Hounds Barley has announced their Valentine's menu

The Fox and Hounds Barley is making up for last year’s locked down Valentine’s by putting on an absolute show stopper this year!

Hosted in collaboration with Cambridge Wines Royston, The Fox & Hounds Barley is going to be putting on a fun-filled evening for Valentine’s Day with a five-course tasting menu, paired wine and a cocktail to kick the night off.

The 350-year-old pub has an incredible Valentine’s menu lined up, with all five courses getting paired with wines.

The first course is hot and cold oysters, paired with Joseph Perrier Brut NV Cuvée Royale – a very classy way to kick start a memorable dining experience.

The second course is salt cod brandade, beignet, parsley oil and sourdough cracker, paired with Cotes du Rhone Reserve Blanc 2020 Famille Perrin. Ooh la la!

For the third course, expect duck breast aged in hay, glazed with honey and lavender, paired with Bourgogne Cote Chalonnaise Pinot Noir ‘Buissonnier’ 2020 Vignerons de Buxy. Wow, in a word.

The fourth course is twice-baked Montgomery cheddar souffle, with Ch. Franc Baudron 2016 Montagne Saint-Emilion, Cert. Organic. That sounds delicious!

And for the fifth and final course, there will be chocolate marquise, hazelnut and Tonka bean ice cream, paired with Dom. Comelade Grenat L’Oursoulette 2018 Maury Rouge. A perfect way to round off a perfect evening.

Ticket prices are £95 per person and the evening starts at 7pm. Treat your loved one on this special occasion or gather up some friends and celebrate love and good times together.
