Do you have a taste for caviar but not the budget to match?
Never fear, Botswana Butchery in Sydney is celebrating International Caviar Day by making this luxurious treat super affordable.
On Monday July 18, you’ll be able to walk into the New Zealand restaurant’s Martin Place outpost, put down a fiver and be treated to a generous bump of Black River Siberian Caviar which you can eat from the back of your hand.
If you want to keep that luxe feeling going, you can also accompany your caviar bump with a glass of Perrier Jouet Champagne for $15 or go old-school with a shot of vodka for $10.
The one-day festival of caviar starts at 12pm and you can just walk-in, or make a reservation if you prefer.
If you’re in Melbourne, you can get the same deal at the Flinders Lane Botswana Butchery, but your bump will be made up of Giaveri White Sturgeon Caviar instead
If you develop a more serious craving for caviar after your bump, you can order the restaurant’s regular full caviar service which includes classic accompaniments such as Melba toasts, rice crisps, chopped egg, chives, shallots and crème fraîche.
