The 2024 SIBA awards included a new collaboration award, which was won again by Thornbridge for its work with Czech brewery, Budvar on the popular Czech Mates beer. It was the Czech brewery’s first collaboration in its 128-year history. But it was Bundobust Brewery that we were most proud of…

The SIBA awards are judged by a panel of independent beer industry experts. They cover several categories, from brewery marketing, design and innovation, to efforts to make businesses more sustainable or impactful.
Neil Walker, chair of judges at the SIBA Business Awards, was quoted: “It has been a huge year for entries into the awards, with a 43% increase in entries in 2024 compared to 2023, making the achievement of being named a finalist all the tougher. It was also great to see such a huge response to new categories such as the Collaboration and Brewers’ Brewer of the Year Awards.”

This year’s awards included three new categories for ‘Best Collaboration’, ‘Best New Brewery’, and a ‘Brewers’ Brewer of the Year’.
The new collaboration award sought to highlight collaborations which amplify the reach of the businesses involved, appeal to new audiences, or create a commercial success to the mutual benefit of all involved. This could be a beer collaboration, product line, new business venture, festival or event partnership, and judges were looking for innovative, exciting collaborations that captured the imagination of their target audience.

In the category for ‘UK’s Best Independent Craft Brewery Taproom’, Bundobust Brewery ran out winners, beating the likes of 40FT, Amity, and Signature Brew to the prestigious award. With locations in Manchester and Liverpool, Bundobust is the original Indian street food and craft beer hall. Here you can expect vibrant Indian vegan and vegetarian street food served with incredible craft beers in a friendly communal space.
Some of the popular craft beers include the PEELA pale ale, the DHANIA pilsner coriander lager, and the MANGO LASSI DAZZLER pale ale. As for the food, there’s plenty of choice – from bar snacks to combos and sharing dishes such as the highly popular Okra Fries.
