Craving a meaty patty? Need help deciding where to go? We’ve compiled the best places in Leeds to go for some delicious meaty goodness.

Starting as a burger van in 2008, and now with 11 sites across the country, this place is a burger lovers haven. This place is hidden away just off Bank Street, but it’s well worth the trip. The burgers are dirty and the tunes are banging. The Dead Hippie burger is infamous, you get two French’s mustard fried beef patties, Dead Hippie Sauce, lettuce, cheese, pickles, and minced white onions. If you like a challenge, or if you’ve had a few pints, have a go at the Triple Chili Challenge, eat three spicy burgers in under ten minutes and you get the lot free. However, if that’s not up your street, understandably, then there’s other options. Go rabbit style and have the patty in between lettuce leaves, or try one of their other meaty options.

The craze for crazy burgers has reached new heights. Almost Famous are one of those crazy burger joints you need to try. We would recommend the Triple Nom for burger evangelists, a double cheeseburger with pulled pork, slaw and redneck sauce or you’ve got a veggie pal, there’s the Phok-Meat, a delicious mix of deep fried halloumi in pho-king sauce, with smashed avocado and chipotle mayo. All of their burgers are made with 100% freshly ground beef, and there’s no pretentiousness here. Come here for a good time, and leave with a full belly

Named after the iconic New York punk rock singer, but with a play on the burger patty. This place serves up some incredible dishes. Starting out as a temporary kitchen in Belgrave Music Hall and Canteen, Patty Smith soon became a permanent fixture after people raved about their burgers. Soak up the atmosphere in the hall and get yourself a pint of something to wash down your burger.
