At Miro you can find one of the best burgers in Christchurch the Wagyu burger, served with caramelised onions, roasted garlic aioli, New Zealand gouda cheese, and hand cut chips. Word on the street is they serve the best Bloody Mary in town. A savoury feast for the senses is in store for you when you get there. They also do a killer brunch, we’re going for the Ricotta Hotcake next time. They were recently awarded Best Cafe by Hospitality NZ at their annual awards for Excellence. Visit this award-winning cafe now and try their meaty burger as soon as possible.
There is a something enchanting about this place, The Terrace is usually bathed in sun and the interiors are tastefully done. It certainly lives up to its name as it’s an original space with an original menu to match. It also does one of the best burgers in Christchurch. We’ve got another Wagyu beef burger on this list, but this time it’s served in a Brioche bun with salad, cheddar cheese, tomatoes, red onions, pickled cucumber, BBQ sauce and fries.
If you’re looking for a classic boiger, we’d recommend Aikmans. They do a drool worthy Angus Beef Burger served with aged cheddar, streaky bacon, lettuce, tomato, red onion, aioli, tomato relish and fries. You can enjoy this meat feast in their expansive sun drenched courtyard and heated louvered area, sit back, relax and enjoy whatever the weather.
This place has a modern southern USA style menu with a wide selection of cocktails, New Zealand wines, and craft beers, plus they have live entertainment 5 nights a week. What do you need to soak up these delicious liquids you may ask. You need one of Christchurch’s best burgers, but a mini version, not just one, but as many as you like, these are called Boo’s Sliders. Choose from pork belly, prosciutto, swiss cheese, pickle mayo, and mustard; grilled sirloin, tomato jam, bacon, red onion, and rocket; fried chicken, boo’s ‘Q’ sauce, green apple kimchi, and spring onion sauce; and for the vegetarians, bbq mushroom, pimento cheese, and house made pickle.
