Asian Fusion cuisine in Manchester

Manchester has an enormous range of different types of Asian cuisine due to the diversity of areas like the Northern Quarter and Ancoats, but mainly because of the Curry Mile (in Rusholme, which is on the way for most students travelling to university) and Chinatown (in the centre). Manchester is lucky to have both. Here, we have put together a list of some of the best Asian eateries in Manchester, allowing you to access a wide range of cultures via your plate!

This hidden gem can be located in Northenden, near the Wythenshawe area and also not far from Vietnamese restaurants (like itself), such as Viet Guy. It is a beautifully designed restaurant and as they specialise in Vietnamese food, they serve many vegan and healthy dishes. The salt and pepper squid, any tofu and the Bun Ha Noi fish plate are must tries, especially for their cost and quality.

Located in the Spinningfields, it is hard to put into words the gorgeous design of Tattu. Tattu is elegantly stylised and in all honesty, is a must go if you are intrigued by wonderful décor. However, the food is also scrumptious, for example the Wagyu beef and black pepper and honey ribs are to be recommended. This Chinese restaurant is perfect for parties too!

Mughli Charcoal Pit
cuisinesIndian

A famous and fabulous restaurant on the Curry Mile, Mughli, existing since 1991 is a family-owned restaurant, specialising in Indian cuisine. Subject to rave reviews from the likes of Freddie Flintoff and Nigel Slater, it is a highly well-known and liked place. From their halal meats, such as their lamb chops and chicken cooked over coals to their curries, like the Bhaji Romaal, Mughli has many reasons as to why it is a key part of the soul of Curry Mile.

Shere Kahn is another must-go restaurant on the diverse Curry Mile. Established in 1987, it is the first Indian and Balti restaurant of its kind, making it a pioneer of what the Curry Mile is now. Using only the best Halal cuts and offering a more traditional menu than it did when it first opened, it is one of the best places in Manchester to have a Chicken Tikka Masala or a Lamb Rogan Josh.

MyLahore originally started in Bradford, 2002 and was a way for the owners to support their studies and to help the family. Since then, they have expanded all over the country with one of their best restaurants sitting on Curry Mile. The menu is thoroughly diverse and we mean it! This is because the menu is influenced mainly from Lahore, Pakistan but it is also shaped by Yorkshire and Australian cuisine.

Little Yang Sing
cuisinesChinese

We had to include an establishment in Chinatown and Little Yang Sing is one of the best! Another family-owned business, loved by Mancunians, this restaurant offers a wide variety of seafood and Chinese dishes either from their buffet or set menus. Their sweet Dim Sums are to be recommended!

Fuzion Noodle Bar
cuisinesChinese

This small but adorable place can be found in Fallowfield and is perfect for students or anyone who wants a cheap but high-quality meal to sit-in or takeaway. From wok-fried to soup noodles, you cannot go wrong this noodle bar.
