A host of Glasgow restaurants have appeared on an episode of Come Dine With Me: The Professionals to battle it out for the coveted title of best restaurant in the city.

Bloc+, Amore d’Italia and Maki and Ramen all competed against one another on the popular Channel 4 cooking show.

In each episode, three local restaurant duos go head-to-head as they take it in turns to host the others for a three-course dinner and prove they’ve got what it takes to win the £1,000 prize.

Bloc+ was crowned the winner of Come Dine With Me: The Professionals in Glasgow.

Bath Street restaurant Bloc+ beat Amore d’Italia in Dennistoun and Maki and Ramen, also based on Bath Street, to take home the £1,000 prize money and the coveted Come Dine With Me trophy.

Bloc+’s head chef Andy Neilson and hostess Pixie Brady wowed guests with a menu of plant-based wings made using jack fruit, a ramen noodle hot dog and deep-fried sticky toffee pudding.
