Cooking for Christmas can be stressful, but if you don’t want to go out and you still want sensational restaurant-quality dishes, we just might have the solution…
Some of your favourite restaurants, including Ventuno, Ripples Chowder Bay and The Fenwick, all part of the Sydney Restaurant Group (SRG), have put together a dining at home menu which you can order ahead, pick up on Christmas Eve and then pass off as your own (incredibly good!) cooking.
The menu sounds like a festive dream. We’re talking maple glazed ham, slow cooked lamb shoulder and cured ocean trout with raspberries and yuzu creme fresh.
Sides include a pimped up potato salad with crab, salmon roe and chives, broccolini with feta, fresh chilli and olive crumb, a cauliflower and truffle cheese bake, baked pumpkin with pepitas, hazelnuts and sherry vinegar, and roast brussel sprouts with pancetta and balsamic glaze.
If you’ve still got room, finish with a stunning blueberry and kaffir lime tart.
Most of the cooking is done under the watchful eye of Sydney Restaurant Group Executive Chef Davide Rebeccato, so you will mostly just be reheating, though there are clear instructions for the few dishes that do need cooking, to ensure they arrive on your table at their very best.
You need to order the box before Monday 19th December and can choose between a menu to serve either six ($645) or 10 ($895).
If you want more, or just to supplement your Christmas cooking, you can also order a cheese and charcuterie box ($185) which serves eight to 10.
Pick up is at Ventuno Walsh Bay, Ripples Chowder Bay, Ripples Little Manly or The Fenwick Balmain on Christmas Eve.
For more information and to book your box, go to the SRG Home Dining website.
