A cookie pop-up store is coming to Auckland, and we are absolutely ecstatic.
Sugar and Tempt is open for business with a quaint little pop up happening this weekend, Saturday 27th until Monday 29th. This is their second ever pop-up store, and after the craze of Sugar and Tempts debut, we’re not taking any chances this time around. Pre-order now, and you’ll have a box of cookies in your hands by the weekend!
We have been promised that there will be enough cookies for everyone, so satisfy your cravings and find your new obsession – they’re seriously that good. Did we mention they’re gigantic? You won’t have to eat for the rest of the weekend after one of these bad boys.
Sugar and Tempt started as a beloved lockdown project and blossomed into a mini-empire dedicated to providing Aucklanders with the best cookies around. If you’re outside of Auckland, you can still indulge; delivery times may vary. Sugar and Tempt have created luxurious New York-style chunky cookies that are everything we ever wanted and more. Originally Sugar and Tempt was a platform for reviewing and sharing recipes; this evolved to include pop-up cookie sales that have amassed a cult-like following. Founder and creative director Tiffany Sua has a passion for bringing recipes to life, and you can taste the dedication to her craft in each cookie she makes.
These cookies are heavenly with a perfectly crisp exterior and an oh-so-gooey middle; you won’t be able to stop yourself from having another, and another, and another. They are thick, rich and decadent; each bite melts in your mouth. The original creation takes you on a trip to the big apple with the NYC chunky chocolate and walnut cookie. Made with sugar and spice, and all things nice, or, as the recipe dictates, a generous helping of Equagold couverture chocolate and roasted pieces of walnuts. These cookies are surprisingly light and fluffy.
There’s a brand-new flavour available for a limited time only, Sugar and Tempt have created a masterpiece in the form of the NYC Gooey Biscoff cookie. What is Biscoff, you ask? The thick, creamy confection has the consistency of peanut butter but tastes like gingerbread with a distinct cinnamon aftertaste. Sounds delicious, right?
The NYC Gooey Biscoff cookie is filled with an abundance of Biscoff spread, and when you take a bite, it will ooze from the centre. The cookie is rich and caramel-like, loaded with Equagold white couverture chocolate and finally a dusting of crumbled Lotus biscuits on the top.
Buy the cookies in packs of four or six; we like to think the more the merrier. Order a box of the original creation, limited edition, or our personal favourite, the mixed box – it’s the best of both worlds.
The cookie pop-up store will take place on the 27th – 29th of November, so you have a few days to get your orders in! Place all pre-orders on the Sugar and Tempt website and choose between contactless delivery or pick-up from Lynfield Shopping Centre, Auckland. Deliveries will go out from the 27th; however, pick-up is only available on the 29th between 10 am – 5 pm. Secure your box of cookies ASAP, as we expect this pop-up to be another sell-out when the sweet-tooth frenzy takes hold.
