We’ve been hearing good things about Root since the very first lockdown, when diners would order a brilliant, healthy takeaway. Now you can fortunately visit in person at Wapping Wharf, dining on their terrace, overlooking Bristol’s Harbourside. The menu is veggie-led, tapas style with small plates ranging from ‘Crispy Cauliflower and Shiitake’ to ‘White Chocolate & Whisky Cheesecake’. YUM. All produce featured is locally sourced and so the menu is always seasonal. We love to see it.
“An award-winning independent vegan eatery,” run by one talented person (check out their blog for brilliant updates!) A tucked away, 100% plant-based gem. Menus here are designed to be gluten free and feature locally sourced, seasonal produce. As well as an evening Supper Club Set Tasting Menu, EYG have also been known to offer Sunday roasts, super cute date night dinner boxes and summer picnic bags.
Oat milk beetroot latte and vegan pistachio pastry to go? YES PLEASE. East Village is a hub of activity with an excellent homemade menu. With outdoor seating under the arch in Clifton Village, you can sit outside and enjoy your lavender latte whilst staying cosy. It’s a great spot for people watching and enjoying the buskers, even in the rain. They have a gorgeous selection of homewares and accessories to peruse whilst you wait for your coffee too! Dog friendly and everything on the menu’s 100% vegan, what’s not to love?
Not a dine-in eatery as such, but an absolutely epic find! This spot, down by Bristol Harbour, sells amazing homemade cow’s milk Kefir, Kimchi and Kombucha. For some serious good vibes for your gut as well as good chat, head on down. Every Good Thing is also offering summer and winter workshops on how to ferment your own ‘good for your gut’ drinks.
Fantastic healthy street food that is guaranteed to fill you up! Open until 8:30pm, this is the perfect place to grab and go. Incredible salads, falafels, humus, fresh fruit smoothies, all at an affordable price and served in incredibly generous portion sizes! It’s quick, nutritious, and well worth the queue. We recommend ordering a pitta with EVERYTHING, perhaps with extra pickles just to be sure. Trust us when we say, you won’t be hungry afterwards, but will be feeling good and well nourished!
