Bristol bakeries you need to visit
There is quite the competition when it comes to narrowing down Bristol’s best bakeries. We have searched high and low for the best Pain aux Raisin as well as the good vibes to go with it. Here we have a run down of six of the best bakeries in town.
VEGAN PASTRIES TO DIE FOR! Honestly, they really are that good. From banana, Biscoff and Nutella croissants, to strawberry and raspberry croissants we are OBSESSED. Served alongside delicious cakes, sausage rolls and expertly poured coffee, Foliage is always buzzing. With a no laptop policy and dogs welcome, it is a great wholesome, plant covered eatery to chat tech free.
Very good coffee. Very good bread. Delicious toasties. Bakesmiths is a brilliant bakery with a great range of meals, loaves and coffee all to sit in and work at a window seat, or take home. Open early at 7am, this is a great bakery to grab your morning bread, with anything from sourdough to focaccia available.
We are keeping it simple and to the point here. Farro is a classic, proper good bakery. Brilliant bread, pastel de natas, exceptional cakes and a great team with good vibes. Absolutely everything you could want in a bakery.
The perfect pitstop post exploring the Bristol Museum. We love it here at Pinkmans, from the log bench style seating, to the INCREDIBLE toasties and upbeat, lively vibe. This independent bakery specialises in sourdough, even serving insane sourdoghnuts! Both savoury and sweet treats are so heartwarming and total comfort food, especially the brilliant cheese and ham toastie that is delicious enough to warm even the coldest of hearts.
An award-winning bakery that is clearly very popular with the locals. Not only is the bread exceptional and the menu seasonal, but The Assembly Bakery also offers classes in bread making and breakfast pastries! With good ethics too, the team source produce and ingredients as locally as possible, which we love to see at Dish Cult, with all products being handmade on sight in their bakery.
More of a cake shop, but with it being such a gorgeous venue, we just couldn’t miss it off the list. Tucked away in Bristol by the infamous, ever enchanting Christmas Steps, Ahh Toots is a super snug venue with an incredible array of exquisite cakes that you can clearly see are considered works of art – not to mention the infamous sausage rolls!
