The Pelham Arms is an award winning traditional British public house situated at the top of Lewes High Street, serving local and seasonal food with a relaxed friendly service in charming surroundings. Built circa 1640, this quintessential Sussex pub has original oak beams, an inglenook fireplace, courtyard garden and is full of age-old charm. All the food is freshly prepared on the premises and are committed to using local ingredients wherever possible. They’re famous for their “big & messy” burgers, a dedicated section on the menu to plant base plates for vegetarian, vegan and gluten free lovers and their homemade puddings. The Pelham Arms take their real ale very seriously, and because of this your pint will always be top notch. The Pelham Arms are proud to be the only pub in Lewes serving fine ales from the Badger brewery. The pub is also the birthplace of the first craft beer brewery in Lewes “Abyss Brewing” which was created in the depth of the cellar by the landlord. The wines have been carefully selected and include local award-winning wine & sparkling wines. There is also an excellent range of local organic juices and botanically brewed soft drinks.
