Ni- 'us' or 'we' in welsh, is the creation of Jeremy Rameka & Natalie of Pacifica Restaurant. Ni is 6 seat only, destination dining experience. You will be served a multi-course set menu of heartfelt local cuisine, in our backyard ‘batch.’ This isn't just an outhouse in rural King Country, Kakahi. It belongs in the place Chef Jeremy calls ‘home’, where his tipuna carved channels for him to be here. He & his dishes are an extension & expression of this whenua. A night at Ni will be a reception of culinary creations, instigated by respect for whakapapa, the land and the relationships, connections & collaborations carved by both Jeremy & Nat; shared with you through the language of food & hospitality. At Ni, you'll have solo Chef Jeremy preparing multiple dishes of local, seasonal kai right in front of you. Dishes crafted honestly from heart, knowledge & experience. You'll be hosted too by Nat, she’ll share with you the tales of what's in your bowls & how they came to be. Please join us, with up to only ﬁve others, for an honest, unconventional, intimate evening. Being small & rural, we work on a bookings only basis without set days of operation. Open for reservations Monday - Sunday, 6:30pm - 11:00pm. Please be aware that unfortunately we are not able to offer a vegan, egg or dairy free menu. Food allergies announced on the day without due notice may result in a shortened menu. Some preparations are made over time or in advance & only small amounts of necessary produce are held in our little kitchen. The menu will be evolving, so the number of courses & cost may fluctuate (currently $225pp). Rest assured that the value will always be consistent. A small concise drinks list with NZ only offerings will be available on the night. You won’t find a sample menu, this is to keep the element of surprise- all part of the experience.
