Light offers a whole new style of dining and socialising for Eastbourne, with a Scandi-inspired restaurant and roof terrace with stunning views — great for coffee, cocktails and everything in between. Book for breakfast, lunch, afternoon tea, pre-theatre, dinner & cocktails. A visit isn’t complete without trying smørrebrød, an open sandwich served on rye bread. From classics such as pickled herring served with eggs, samphire and sour cream, to whipped goat cheese with charred Sussex peach, hot honey and toasted almonds, there’s something for everyone. From Thursday to Saturday you can enjoy evening menus, as the restaurant opens for dinner 5.30pm - 10.00pm, last booking at 8pm. You can choose from a pre-theatre set menu, a four or five course tasting menu or simply pick your favourites from the evening menu. The restaurant hosts a Jazz Late every first Friday of the month and also takes bookings for private events, which include exclusive access to Towner’s exhibitions.
