The Ferry Inn is a cosy, stylish & lively Inn in the little fishing village of Uig, situated in the north of the Isle of Skye on the Trotternish Peninsula. With a well stocked bar, intimate small plates restaurant and three boutique guest rooms, we’re a family run Inn with a passion for providing the perfect base for our guests to explore the beautiful island of Skye. So whether you are popping by for an evening drink or enjoying a leisurely dinner – we look forward to welcoming you to the Ferry Inn. At the Ferry Inn, our dining ethos is to deliver beautifully cooked food, using seasonal and local produce in a relaxed yet stylish setting. We enjoy making the most of fantastic, seafood, meats and lovely fresh produce from Scottish vegetable and salad producers. From our shellfish & meat, to our charcuterie and cheese, we source from a fabulous range of local and regional producers, and proudly showcase this on our menu. Our menu is built on a small plates & sharing basis as as opposed to a traditional menu set up; small and seasonal it has been built to enjoy as a whole table experience. We also have a lovely curated wine, specialist drinks & cocktail list and we’re always on hand for recommendations! We bought the Ferry Inn in September 2014 and went ahead with a full scale renovation over the next 19 months to transform it into the chic but cosy coastal retreat it is today! We are centrally positioned on the southwest-facing Uig Bay, with a fantastic view towards the Waternish peninsula out over the crofts and water. Watch the Ferry to the Outer Hebrides and the fishing boats come and go from a window seat or by the double sided stove, or if the Scottish sun is shining, our drinks garden makes the perfect perch for an evening drink or three.
