Led by Executive Head Chef Michael O’Connor, The Avenue marks a return to familiar ground for one of Belfast’s best-known chefs. Michael brings more than 30 years of experience to the kitchen, including his much-loved 15 years at The Barking Dog, alongside experience in some of the UK and Australia’s leading kitchens. At The Avenue, the focus is refreshingly simple: great ingredients, cooked with confidence, and food people genuinely want to eat. The menu combines modern brasserie cooking with comforting classics, seasonal dishes and plates designed for sharing. Familiar favourites sit alongside new creations, allowing Michael and his team to build something that feels distinctly at home in South Belfast.
