About The Greyhound Inn
Everyone is very welcome at The Greyhound Inn, an 18th century free house, in the centre of Letcombe Regis, a pretty downland village within the Vale of the White Horse region of Oxfordshire.
Our fabulous kitchen team have a reputation for cooking up delicious and imaginative dishes.
All of the food is homemade and freshly cooked, and based on great, fresh and locally sourced ingredients. Alongside some great pub classics you will find our menu is inspired by the seasons, and our specials based on the gems our suppliers bring us.
We have an à la Carte menu every day, and at lunchtimes (not Sundays) we also have a range of delicious sandwiches available.
Children of all sizes are very welcome at the Greyhound and we like to offer them fresh homemade food too, with some children’s favourites and the option of smaller portions of the grown up’s dishes.
Dogs welcome and we offer water bowls and treats at the bar.
We had a wonderful meal with the family this week, staff very friendly and helpful and the food was delicious! Will definitely return.
5 stars for everything says it all!
A perfect place to stay.
Awesome service and great atmosphere
We were in the local area and booked a table here for dinner, it exceeded all expectations. The food and service is fantastic and would come back again definitely.
Fish and chips as always were excellent. Service as always friendly.
When empty tables are available we would prefer diners to be more spaced out. With only us in the restaurant the next diners were placed right next to us.
We've been many times before, and we'll be coming back again! Can't fault it
Lovely lunch, sat in the garden, good service. I had the salmon which was very tasty. My companion had cauliflower soup and wonderful chips. Very enjoyable
I have been to The Greyhound several times from my home near Marlborough to meet friends who love in Oxford. Originally we chose this pub as was half way but now we choose it because we like it a lot, enjoy the atmosphere, food and dog friendly welcome.
We had a very lovely relaxing lunchtime, the food and drink were excellent and the staff friendly and fun. Thank you
Considering the current job vacancies at Restaurants, Inns etc, we were most impressed with the hard work, effficiency, helpfulness and friendliness we encountered at The Greyhound over our 3 days and nights. In particular, we would single out Catriona, Susan, Olivia and Ian. Already recommended you to relatives and friends.
Helpful staff and they coped admirably with the mess created by our baby daughter!
Lovely dinner in the private dining room, with excellent wines. The staff were very friendly and helpful.
Wonderful pub, lovely food and atmosphere and great service. Well worth booking a reservation for Sunday lunch here.
Wonderful location, lovely garden, nice selection of real ale We will definitely be back next time we are in these parts (from the south east)
was made to feel v welcome. Dog was allowed but did mention dog when booking. v pleasant surroundings. Staff very courteous. Food v good and my questions were clearly answered good choice on menu. I have been before and will be returning. plus good walks locally!
An excellent evening out. Thank you Greyhound
Reliably top quality, welcoming staff. Great menu and fantastic ale choices, always changing
Really enjoyed the BBQ and live music on BH Monday; I had the chicken which was really nice. Weather was a bit challenging however that's England in late August for you!
Food and service were lovely. I would have preferred it if the staff continued to wear face masks when serving food as they are going from table to table. But I understand that this is my personal preference and not a government mandated requirement anymore.
We booked for Sunday lunch at my daughter's request. She's visiting us for the weekend from London. She's vegetarian and says this is the best veggie Sunday lunch she's ever had. Went for the second time this weekend and she confirms her view hasn't changed!
Excellent all round.
