Bopping about in London Town and looking for the best places to eat in King’s Cross? Luckily for you there is an amazing selection of eateries in the area, from family-owned long standing local establishments, to the newer, more contemporary bars of Coal Drops Yard.
Found a short walk away from King’s Cross Station on route towards Russell Square, we love this Italian restaurant. With cracking staff and a relaxed environment, this is a brilliant place for large groups and birthdays. With celebratory tiramisu, as well as classic pizza and pasta dishes, there really is something for everyone here. Reserve a table for your event without an extortionate deposit too. The olives are also really great. A proper London Italian venue.
Hicce is a really cool venue, serving food cooked over an open fire combining Nordic and Japanese cooking with classic British dishes. Wild, we know. Serving a menu that is both seasonal and designed for sharing, this is a great foodie venue. Offering sharing boards, family style sharing Sunday roasts as well as a stunning combination of flavours in main plates, we highly recommend Hicce for a lunch date. Be sure to check out their pub in Islington too, Hicce Hart.
A groovy King’s Cross venue serving good drinks and chilled vibes, accompanied by a live dj. Offering small plates, as well as a production company and shop in Mayfair, this is definitely a venue for music lovers. The drinks menu is great, as is their event nights including book launches and poetry evenings.
A short hop, skip and a jump away from King’s Cross (a totally walkable distance, or hop on a bus up the road) you will find the award winning Niche Gluten-Free Dining. Being a nut, sesame and gluten free space, this is the perfect venue for anyone with allergies or dietary requirements. Using local, seasonal ingredients to create their brilliant British and European menu, we cannot speak highly enough of this fantastic venue. With outdoor and indoor seating too, this is again a great venue come British summer.
A super cool underground bar, part of The Megaro Hotel. With a great story as to the name – ask the bartender – this is a great venue for a cheeky midweek date night. Enjoy a stunning range of creative drinks in a totally unexpected interior. Definitely a venue for those who are passionate about their drinks and mixology. We are big fans of their live music nights too. This is definitely a unique venue.
