It’s no secret we Kiwis love a tipple, and when we put the question to you about the city’s best signature cocktail, your answers flooded in. Balmoral’s Kiss Kiss Eatery came out victorious with its deliciously tropical Go-Go Mango.
We’re talking about a cocktail you dream about long after your last encounter with it, something that offers more than just a complement to your food, but instead acts as a centrepiece all on its own. And that’s exactly what the Go-Go Mango is.
The perfect drink to match its eccentric vibe, both Kiss Kiss and Go-Go Mango encapsulate the fun side of life. The eatery is lively and busy, with a menu to match, full of noodle and rice dishes to fill you up.
The Go-Go Mango is one of their many colourful cocktails, though it takes the supreme spot as their Signature drink. In it, you’ll find mango, coconut, gold rum, white rum, and special Thai lime as a finishing touch. One sip transports you to the sunny white-sand beaches of Phuket – it really is almost uncanny the amount of nostalgia a sip can bring. On the palate you’ll taste an instant hit of mango, projecting the sweetness of the fruit before the coconut follows suit, ending in a boozy hit from both rums. Simply put, the Go-Go Mango mimics the poolside associations of a Pina Colada, with a fresh hit of mango instead of pineapple.
Celebrating each and every special occasion and holiday with a new variety of cocktails, it’s saying something that the Go-Go Mango has stuck around as a permanent fixture on the Kiss Kiss menu.
Summing up the fun and flirty nature of the eatery, Go-Go Mango packs a punch and adds the perfect sweet addition to your evening.
