On a walk, feel like a coffee and a quick brekkie, but you’ve got your four-legged friend in tow?
Never fear, these cafes not only have great coffee, seasonal menus and a friendly vibe, they are also pooch perfect.
With a name like “Vincent The Dog”, it’s no surprise that dogs are not just welcomed here, they’re actively encouraged.
The courtyard at Vincent’s is wonderful, full of sunshine, fake grass, and all-round cheerful vibes, perfect for Fido and for you too.
There’s Code Black beans in the espresso machine, as well as house brewed kombucha, and tumeric and chai lattes.
Food-wise, the menu features an extensive bagel menu, as well as cafe staples like smashed avo and eggs however you like them. Less typical is the refreshing Vietnamese noodle salad and the decadent pulled pork waffles.
Dish Cult’s top pick: Pulled pork waffle ($19.50)
At A Minor Place, head out the back to the deck seating where you can chill with your doggo and peruse a menu of delicious all-day brunch options.
From the jalapeno okonomiyaki, a clever savoury Japanese pancake, and indulgent Belgian wholemeal waffles with crispy fried chicken to the NYC bagel featuring fall-apart smoked salmon and french toast with vanilla anglaise, there’s plenty here to keep you happy and full.
And with its relaxed vibe, this is a fab spot to unwind with a good book and your four-legged bestie on a Sunday. Just don’t forget to pick up a dog treat at the counter.
Dish Cult’s top pick: Jalapeno okonomiyaki ($19)
A little bit hidden in Heidelberg Heights, Crate feels homey and welcoming in a way that we love. It’s the kind of cafe where everyone knows not just your name, but the name of your dog too!
Freshly roasted specialty coffee is served with pride here and the menu features cafe classics made with local, seasonal ingredients. The bacon and egg roll is a real winner – it’s a toasty ciabatta roll heaped with bacon, melty cheese, bacon, and drizzled with tomato relish.
There’s also a fresh rotation of uber-tempting baked goods daily, and if you’re in the mood for some rice bowls, Crate’s comes with green rice, tons of greens, herbs, and unique toppings to go.
Dish Cult’s top pick: Bacon and egg roll ($15)
Rustic and spilling over with greenery, The Farm Cafe is a popular event and wedding venue for good reason.
Enjoy a sunny meal outdoors with your pooch surrounded by Collingwood’s beautiful Children’s Farm. Options here range from kimchi and chilli scramble, a delightful combination of tangy kimchi and spicy sriracha cutting through cheddar eggs to Tunisian eggs, which come smelling heavenly and served with crispy buttery sourdough toast, the perfect cure to cold weather.
Your four-legged friend will love the country feel and plenty of room to stretch their legs.
Dish Cult’s top pick: Kimchi and cheddar scramble ($18.50)
