Rosebank Kitchen is a community focused eatery, with an innovative fresh menu. If you’re after a healthy and delicious brekkie then this is the place for you. They understand that there’s an art in creating the best omelettes around. Their omelettes are made with free-range eggs and a selection of delicious fillings that complement one another. By combining jamón ibérico (cured Spanish pork), tangy goat feta, mushrooms, sun dried tomatoes, shallots and a tomato chutney – you get the perfect balance of creamy and sharp flavours. The omelette is served over a thick slice of toasted kumara sourdough that adds a crisp texture to the overall dish – how good?
The Food Kitchen puts love into every dish they send out, they specialise in Kiwi classics to start your day on the right foot. Choose between their Spanish Omelette and The Food Kitchen Omelette – both are made with the perfectly seasoned 3-egg omelette base, whisked to the ideal omelette consistency, then slowly cooked. The Spanish omelette comes with a sauteed ham filling, mushrooms, capsicum, onion and cheese. If that wasn’t enough, it comes with toast and a selection of fresh greens on the side. The Food Kitchen Omelette has similar fillings; mushroom, onions and cheese but with the addition of shaved chicken and a side of chips and greens.
Chuffed has a great selection of meals and freshly baked goods available for your every breakfast needs, from cheese scones and sandwiches to big brekkies and omelettes. Chuffed puts a twist on the classic and serves their omelettes open, taking up the entire plate. With two options available, you can choose between the veggie friendly omelette or a meatier option. The latter takes inspiration from Spanish cuisine and comes with salash chorizo, aged manchego cheese, caramelized onions and caper berries. The veggie omelette combines juicy cherry tomatoes, flavourful buffalo mozzarella and a roquette pesto olive crumb. Both being the crème de la crème of the omelette world.
Scarecrow creates their dishes using seasonal and locally sourced produce, with their menu taking inspiration from Mediterranean flavours and European cuisine. Scarecrow takes omelettes very seriously, with a whole section of their menu dedicated to them. While you can stick to the classic, yet wonderful, cheesy option, you won’t be able to resist the rest. They have a creamy mushroom and chive omelette, a lamb merguez with caramelised onion and a smoked salmon and mascarpone. Each omelette is served with a green salad and slice of artisan bread. You can also choose to add chorizo to any of the omelettes available, it goes great with the creamy mushroom! We highly recommend working your way through them all!
