Manchester's must try gins

We all have a favourite spirit drink. Whether it’s tequila, rum, whisky, vodka or gin, the spirit of your choice says much about you and what sort of feel and setting you like to be in whilst drinking. We also have our favourite drink depending on what mood or setting we are in. For example, vodka is very ‘let’s party’, whisky is for a relaxed conversation and tequila is always the one which comes to mind when someone says, ‘let’s do shots!’. But it’s gin that ticks the most boxes.

Gin is perfect for a meet-up with a friend, a cocktail or for the age old classic gin and tonic. It’s suitable for many occasions and moods. We also love our gin distilleries and bars, where gin is the speciality. Manchester being the great and wonderful city that it is, has lots and lots of brilliant establishments that serve gorgeous gin. So, to pay homage to this wonderful drink and some of those places, we have created a list of a few of the best places to find top-quality gin drinks in Manchester.

The Blood Orange Spritz is a mix between Prosecco, soda, syrup, Martini Fiero and blood orange gin. We absolutely love blood orange gin. Thinking about those combinations makes us want a gin cocktail right now! They also have some gin martinis too, such as Lilith’s Kiss, which also includes blood orange gin and Four Leaf Clover. This is the place for relaxed gin cocktails whilst eating beautiful food.

7Sins is another great establishment in the Northern Quarter. This hip cocktail bar offers 2-4-1 cocktails, pool and even shuffleboard! From their 7Sins pints to their house wine, the prices are not expensive and they also offer very good food. The Triple B cocktail, that has Beefeater Gin, lemon, sugar and blueberry float, is gorgeous.

Another, the Bumblebee, made with Beefeater Gin, honey, apple, lemon and lychee, is just as good, plus it’s included in their 2-4-1 cocktails deal. What’s more, you can get a massive sharing bowl of gin mixed with blackcurrant liqueur, fruit juice and lemon curd in the Super Bramble.
