Wondering where to find the best New Year’s Eve feasts in Brisbane?
You can’t go wrong with one of these restaurants… book a table now before they all fill up!
Say hello to 2023 in style at Will and Flow’s NYE party this year.
Right on the Brisbane River, you’ll get waterfront views of the NYE fireworks show and a five-hour dining package treating you to a range of sweet and savoury eats with sophisticated beverage pairings.
Sip on Veuve Clicquot champagne over a plate of succulent Tasmanian oysters, before settling in for a night of live entertainment and creative canapes – from grilled prawn and pineapple skewers with black garlic and chilli glaze, to crumbed goats’ cheese with lacto-fermented blueberry puree and lemon balm.
A wood-fired platter showcases sliced pork belly, lamb koftas and sliced brisket, and a cheese and fruit station will be on hand for extra helpings.

Fans of Vietnamese cuisine need look no further than The Balfour. With a playful twist, this stylish restaurant and rooftop bar is renowned for pairing South East Asian flavours with some of the best Queensland produce available.
Right in the heart of New Farm, it’s a great festive escape for those wishing to avoid the Brisbane City crowds and enjoy a more refined NYE experience.
Your night begins with a complimentary glass of French bubbles, followed by a freshly shucked oyster with plum pearls and coconut emulsion.
While the five-course menu isn’t set in stone just yet, the kitchen suggests there’ll be all sorts of exciting goodies on the menu to anticipate: charred abalone, duck tart, crispy pork belly bao sliders, wagyu beef brisket, Murray cod and more.

Winner of the best Italian restaurant in Queensland in 2020, Persone doesn’t mess around.
It’s offering you three different sittings this NYE: an early three-course set banquet dinner at 5pm, a late three-course set banquet dinner at 8:30pm (with sparkling on arrival) or… if you’d rather something a bit more upbeat than a sit-down meal, a cocktail party at 7pm.
The cocktail party includes roaming canapes, a live DJ, antipasto stations, a five-hour beverage package and breath-taking views of the river and fireworks.
The banquets span modern Italian classics, from air-dried bresaola and figs with stracciatella, to gnocchi and rib fillet with charred radicchio.
Dessert, of course, is everyone’s favourite: tiramisu.
Dish Cult’s top pick: NYE dinner seating two ($169 pp)
Why not don your hottest flares and ring in 2023 Tokyo-disco style at Yoko? The split-level izakaya on the river is the perfect space to soak up the NYE celebrations this year – and enjoy an epic Japanese feed while you’re at it, too.
Yoko are offering two dining sessions (sunset or midnight), complete with DJs on deck, an all-inclusive feast and generous three-hour beverage package. Sip on your choice of a beer, bubbles or spritz on arrival, before tucking into edamame with nori and togarashi to whet your appetite.
Traditional izakaya plates of kingfish with sesame and cucumber, Nikkei ceviche with pineapple, and miso-glazed eggplant will keep your taste buds happy as the bevvies flow.
Look out for the kingfish collar with yuzu and chives, shiitake fried rice, and premium Wagyu striploin with condiments later in the dining session. Dishes of seasonal fruit and the ever-instagrammable Tokyo disco mochi will make the rounds when your sweet tooth strikes.
Dish Cult’s top pick: NYE sunset session ($130 pp)
If you love Greek food and you have an appetite to match, you’ll love what one of Brisbane’s favourite Greek restaurants has in store for you this NYE.
Greca is planning to transport its guests to the Greek Isles for one last village feast before ringing in the New Year.
The midnight session from 9 to 12:30AM includes a three-hour beverage package and, according to the taverna, “enough food to feed a Greek family.” So, plenty then.
Graze on olives, housemade taramasalata with fresh pita, and kingfish with capers to begin. Other tasty snacks include the tiropita (a traditional three-cheese oregano pie) and village salad.
The stars of the show are the grilled octopus with fava and pickled chilli, and an oven-baked lamb shoulder with Greek yoghurt. Mop all the juices up with garlicky roast potatoes, and don’t forget the chocolate, halva and mastika for dessert!
Drinks include chilled Karpouzi spritz jugs, a very decent selection of Greek beers, and red and white wines from Mudgee.
