Still hanging onto his crown of having one of the most trendy restaurants in Glasgow, Nico cooks up a brand new menu every six weeks, based on a theme. We’ve had ones like “The 70’s”, “New York”, and the unforgettable “Disney” so far, and he’s showing no signs of slowing down. If “trendy” means “Instagrammable” to you, then you won’t be disappointed: his food is artfully prepared, and as bright and eye-catching as the venue.

Indian tapas, you say? We can’t think of anything better. If you’re stuck in a chicken korma rut you’re too scared to get out of, grab your friends and branch out with lots of dishes at Chaakoo. Styled on the Irani cafes of 19th century India, they serve up little dishes of delight, along with one of the best butter chickens in the city. C’mon, let’s spice things up.

It really doesn’t come much cooler than Shawlands’ newest spot, Phillies. Headed up by the team behind beloved Redmonds in Dennistoun, it’s a great place to head for brunch, dinner, or drinks.

What’s trendier than LA? The answer to that, reckon the owners of this new spot, is nothing. From the team behind legendary venues like The Butcher Shop and the Spanish Butcher comes a restaurant/bar/club, modelled on the super cool celebrity playgrounds of LA. Think low lighting, impressive decor, great food, and a cocktail list that will blow your mind. That’s  So L.A.

The wall art at this Indian restaurant are reason enough to make the wander down Sauchiehall Street, but when you factor in the gub, it’s a must-visit. They serve everything from traditional dishes to stuff a bit out there, and we’re obsessed with their sag paneer. Modelled on the street food of India, their decor is bright, colourful, and fun making this one of the best trendy restaurants in Glasgow.
