Fazenda is well-known for its party atmosphere and rodizio serving style. Located in the Spinningfields, this South American restaurant and bar has an authentic and high quality wine and food menu. It’s perfect for a full on birthday celebration for those who love Brazilian and Argentinian food, wine and cocktails. Passadores (meat chefs) passionately serve the very best cuts of meat in Manchester. The provoleta, an Argentinian classic and the alcatra rump steak are two of our favourites. In addition to the meat dishes, you’ll find many seafood and vegetarian dishes as well. This high-end restaurant is a perfect way to start off a birthday celebration with friends and family.

This restaurant and bar is named 20 Stories because it is 20 stories high, as you might have probably guessed! That means the view and atmosphere when drinking and eating in this place is something to behold and experience. It’s perfect for birthdays because it allows event bookings, so if you have even 540 people you want to invite (the maximum amount of people for the event bookings), you will be able to invite them all! The rooftop terrace is also fantastic if the weather’s good. 20 Stories has amazing champagne and wine menus provided by Taittinger and Nyetimber respectively. In terms of food on the terrace, you can expect to be able to choose from a grilled salmon burger to chicken yakatori and fish fritter. The food options mentioned above are reasonably priced, but if you feel like treating yourself, why not order the expensive but gorgeous lobster? This eccentric and high-end bar and restaurant is a great option for celebrating a birthday. It would certainly be a memorable one.

K2 is a mix of a karaoke bar and nightclub, which is perfect for the last leg of a birthday celebration. You can rent your own karaoke room, which are designed in a classic eastern, futuristic way. Some rooms can hold up to 35 people, making it great for large and small groups. It also serves scrumptious Asian food, from Indonesian fried noodles to Korean spicy ramen. There is also a large selection of drinks to choose from, such as whiskeys, cognacs, rum, tequila, Champagne, wine… you name it! This joyful karaoke bar and nightclub in the city centre, not far from Piccadilly Gardens, is a good choice for a birthday celebration for those who love singing, drinking and dancing.

Bringing Mexican late-night culture to Manchester is El Capo. Found in the Northern Quarter, El Capo is one of the pillars of nightlife in the area and a fantastic location for a birthday bash. Here you’ll find the very best Mexican street food, tequila induced cocktails and the best beats of soul and hip-hop music in the Northern Quarter. Taco Tuesdays, where tacos are super cheap, and Tequila Thursdays, providing tequila shots for only £1 and selected bottles at 50 per cent off, are fantastic times to have a birthday celebration at El Capo. But the spectacular bottomless brunches are also amazing for birthday parties because you can get bottomless margaritas, mimosas, sols and tacos. Fridays and Saturdays is when things get truly funky as El Capo turns into one of the coolest places in the Northern Quarter to dance. Also, the late-night happy hours are another good reason to celebrate your birthday here!

This wonderful tapas bar is a hidden gem for birthday parties. Amongst other fantastic bars and restaurants in Didsbury, Volta helps create the cheerful atmosphere on Burton Road. The aesthetic is a modern open-planned style, not minimalist and full of character. When we visited this place, we were shocked by not only how delicious the food was, but how gorgeous the plates are. The lamb shawarma, yoghurt and harissa dish is full of flavour and the pan fried cod, yellow curry, crispy potato and pickled chilli is a game-changer. The crispy potato balls are the ones which really stole our hearts though. If you want to share food amongst friends, drink many a cocktail and all within a place which provides banging tunes, then Volta might be the place to have your birthday celebration.
