If you feel like going out to dinner

and enjoying a novelty dining experience these amazing Melbourne restaurants theme to be the way to go 🥁

Embrace your inner Brit and head to Melbourne’s chilly IceBar for a fun night out wity friends.

Set in the heart of the city’s CBD, IceBar is just that – a bar made entirely of ice, right down to the bar stools. And yes, it’s cold in there.

Bookings at IceBar are essential, because you can only stay for 45 minutes before the arctic temperatures start to get to you but chillllll because they will let you out early if you can’t handle the ice factor.

The friendly staff at IceBar will provide you with a snow cape, gloves and Ugg boots, to help keep you warm.

You can order cocktails, mocktails and ice shots at IceBar, and get your photo taken too. This venue is a true novelty, so IceBar does packages that include pictures of you and your mates chilling right out. Be sure to check out the cool ice sculptures during your visit. Just don’t forget to wear your thermals.

FYI IceBar is fine for older kids to visit, but babies and toddlers are not allowed due to the low temperatures. It’s the ideal spot to pop in for a quick drink before heading next door to Charlotte’s bar, where you can warm up over another round of drinks.

Easey’s is an old train carriage that has been converted into a restaurant. Whilst the interior has been refurbished, the exterior is a slice of Melbourne history, with graffiti adorning its outer walls.

If you love American food, then the menu at Easey’s is sure to appeal.

James Hurlston, of Jimmy’s Burgers fame, has curated the world’s best burgers here.

Try the Oklahoma Fried Onion Cheeseburger, which is not for the faint-hearted. Or give the Fried Chicken Sandwich a go – it comes in single, double or triple serves!

If Hot Dogs are more your thing, then grab a Chilli Cheese Dog, or a Mac N Cheese Dog.

All of your fave American side dishes are on Easey’s menu too, like deep fried potatoes, Buffalo wings, and Corn Ribs.

Easey’s has a long drinks list, featuring shakes, soda, seltzer, cider, beer, wine, and cocktails. We love the Bacardi Cherry Cola, which comes in a single serve, or a jug to share with friends.

Diners can choose from Panda’s signature dishes, like the beef tripe, duck intestines, or pig kidneys. If you prefer, the Chef’s Choice menu offers many meat, seafood, and vegetable options to choose from.

Panda’s has an extensive snack and drinks menu too. Try the Brown Sugar Iced Pudding and a glass of plum juice, or if you like something heavier, Panda’s has Asahi beer on tap, and fruity cocktails by the glass or jug.

The interior of Panda’s Hot Pot is simply magnificent, and diners are in for an authentic Chinese experience once they step inside.
