Taco Legends Taco Medic Are Opening Their 2nd Auckland Location Tomorrow!

With its buzzy atmosphere, $6 Taco Tuesdays, Taco Medic has flooded our food-grams. Serving up the freshest tacos since January in their first Auckland store in Ponsonby, Taco Medic has become a cult favourite amongst us, and for good reasons — whether for a sit-down or a quick bite, the tacos come fast and fresh, whilst not compensating for the flavours at all. 

Get excited, as Taco Medic is soon opening its CBD location, making it their second eatery in Auckland and fourth NZ-wide!

Situated conveniently on the corner of Lower Albert Street and Quay Street, the new waterfront-facing taquería will be flooded with sunlight with their floor-to-ceiling windows, offering panoramic views of the glittering waterfront. Feed not only your mouth but all of your senses, with a live DJ-booth, hand-painted walls, and their tantalising new menu with more exciting dishes introduced. 

Co-Founder Ant Wilkins, says the new CBD location places a greater focus on showcasing drinks, uplifting the dining experience different to their Ponsonby location. 

Indeed, the restaurant will not only feature an impressive display of their known-and-loved frozen margaritas but reinvented seasonal fruity cocktails amongst its endless wines and beer selection—‘It’s definitely worth a visit.’

With Taco Medic’s newly appointed Group Executive Chef, the menu is also expansive, making sure that the tacos feature from all three sections — ‘Land’, ‘Ocean’, and ‘Soil’. They are all 100% gluten-free, fresh, and handmade daily, catering for various dietary requirements.

Excitingly, Taco Medic will also been adding eight new dishes to their Quay Street store including quesadillas, tostadas, salad bowls, ceviche, and desserts – all exclusively available at the CBD eatery.

From humble beginnings of selling tacos from a food truck, Taco Medic has expanded greatly into its four brick-and-mortar stores and two motor locations that continue to thrive around New Zealand.
