Soho House is launching in Manchester
Expect restaurants, bars and even a rooftop pool from the legendary members club.
Soho House Manchester will be based in the Old Granada Studios building, taking over the top three floors, with separate elevators.
There will be a Cecconi’s restaurant on the lower floor. Enzo Cecconi, the youngest-ever general manager of Hotel Cipriani in Venice, opened Cecconi’s in London’s Mayfair in 1978.
It became part of the Soho House family in 2004, and now there are Cecconi’s restaurants across the world, from Indian to the US, serving handmade pasta, seafood and dishes from Italy using the finest ingredients.
Mancunians can also expect a Club floor as well as a swimming pool on the roof with outdoor space. Another floor, meanwhile, will host a music venue and club space at night, and be more of a work space in the daytime.
There will also be a Mollie’s bar and diner, offering all-day dining at affordable prices with an easy-going vibe. Inspired by classic American roadside pit-stops, Mollie’s diner combines cool Soho House design and a buzzy open kitchen with crowd-pleasing comfort food: think double burgers (with plant-based options) and hot wings, waffles, shakes and bottomless coffee.
Soho House first opened on London’s Greek Street in 1995, when founder Nick Jones was offered the space above his restaurant, Cafe Boheme. The brand has since expanded throughout its 25-year history to become a collection of members’ clubs, restaurants, hotels and cinemas, with venues throughout the UK, USA, Canada, Europe and Asia, and new openings planned globally.
