Say good-bye to the espresso martini!
While we obviously love the classics on any cocktail list, it’s always fun to see something slightly out of the ordinary and a bit more exciting than our usual tipple. Recently, we came across a special-sounding cocktail that took our fancy, and we simply couldn’t wait to share it on Dish Cult.
Taking two of Aucklanders’ most beloved beverages, the Flat White and the Espresso Martini, a Ponsonby cocktail bar has done the hard-yards of working out exactly how to combine them to create a silky smooth and sweet cocktail.
Under their Bangers Board section at the bar, Clipper Bar on Ponsonby Road lists their luxurious Flat White Martini if you’re lucky. Presented in a beautifully sculptured martini glass, the drink arrives looking almost too pretty to drink – but that won’t stop us.
The classic cocktail mixes Belvedere vodka, Mr. Black Coffee liqueur, whey syrup, and espresso, creating a frothy and decadent mouthful of white coffee with a hit of high-quality liquor.
With a cosmopolitan aviation-in-style theme to the bar, all of Clipper’s cocktails are a play on some of the best travel destinations on earth, and the aircrafts that carry us there.
Clipper lists their inspiration for their epic cocktail range as the great locations and experiences they’re based-on, and we can’t help but think their Flat White Martini is Auckland in a cocktail!
