Lee and Kang’s concept centers around charcoal. Chako specialises in charcoal cuisine and offers a sensuous menu accompanied by artfully paired drinks and dishes to heighten the dining experience. Offering elevated Japanese cuisine, Chako restaurant marks a welcome departure from the existing Japanese restaurants in the city that focus mainly on Sushi and Asian Fusion- style dishes.

At Chako diners can enjoy artfully prepared, and beautifully presented seafood, meat, and vegetarian dishes with a unique charcoal-based twist running through each dish and drink pairing.

Their menu includes favourites such as Sashimi to homemade noodles, chargrilled skewers to mouthwatering deserts like Matcha tiramisu and Hojicha ice cream with grilled white peach and mirin; Diners are in for a treat.

Favorite dishes at this top restaurant include Tantan-men (house-made noodles with mushroom dobanjang, and sansho) and Kingfish with kosho dressing, pickled fennel, and burnt orange.

Needless to say, you probably won’t have tried anything quite like this before, so treating yourself with the Chef’s Banquet, a truly delicious set menu curated by Chako’s own Head Chef is a way to sample Chako at its best.
