Located in The Great Northern Warehouse, Platzki Restaurant is a concept created by two food fanatics who took a humble Polish potato pancake and turned it into a taste fest. Now they’ve introduced a unique concept: a newly launched menu every two months.
Platzki Restaurant creation of a menu focused on dishes based on honest ingredients, injected with passion and goodness has gone down a treat so far with locals. More evolution, or perhaps that should be revolution, as the menu has become even more adventurous, with Polish traditional dishes becoming ‘street’.
The team here are perfectionists in everything they do, believing that food deserves respect, and so the ingredients used are fresh and ethically sourced. Beyond the food, they are a family who strive to create a welcoming and sociable dining experience.
Platzki Restaurant’s continued evolution shows no sign of slowing down as the team has announced an exciting new concept: a new menu will be introduced every two months, keeping ingredients seasonal, the kitchen staff freshly challenged and the diners happy with new dishes to try on an ongoing, regular basis.
Tantalising dishes that have appeared on menus so far include a refreshing cold soup called Chlodnik made from polish beetroots and served with boiled egg; Kasza which is a pearl barley risotto with courgettes, British asparagus, Polish blue cheese and poached egg; and the signature namesake Platzki, which is a potato and courgette pancake with crayfish tail, Marie Rose sauce, parsley and lemon pepper.
Platzki also serves unmissable breakfasts over the weekends, making it the perfect go-to from 9am to 1pm Saturday and Sunday.
