Flour & Ash take their pizza very seriously. They have a simple ethos, keeping things fresh, exciting and local, a must when your restaurant is on the fiercely independent Gloucester Road (just!). Their sourdough pizzas are handmade and stretch in their small kitchen then cooked via woodfire in the oven. Toppings are exciting, with options such as ewes curd, wild garlic pesto, ox cheek ragu and truffle making regular appearances. If the pizza hasn’t quite left you feeling full, their homemade ice creams and sorbets, in a range of seasonal flavours are there to tempt you. We like to try a scoop of an old favourite and second of something a bit more exotic.
Pizza Workshop keep things nice and simple with their pizzas named in numerical order instead of asking you to get your mouth around anything complicated. Pizza Workshop guarantee 100% their GF options are safe, great news for celiacs everywhere!
Bosco is an Italian lovers dream, with owners spending much of their time in that part of the world picking up recipes and techniques from the parents of pizza themselves. They split their offerings into tomato and non tomato bases and use only the best Italian ingredients on their Neapolitan style bases for an authentic taste and experience. If you don’t fancy pizza (stay with us) Bosco offers a plethora of other dishes to suit any dishes including a rather good Venetian fish stew, fresh pasta and some of the most established meat and cheese boards this side of Rome.
Those authentic, Nepopolitan vibes are all well and good but sometimes one wants a slice of proper Bristol with their dinner.
