Nebula x Cointreau launch tropical summer terrace in Hackney

Nebula’s new vibrant bar and terrace, complete with orange blooms and blankets for cooler evenings, will be the go-to destination for the long summer days ahead. Guests visiting the neighbourhood spot can work up an appetite and whip up their own frozen margaritas by cycling on Cointreau’s Slushy Margarita Bikes on the sun soaked terrace, before tucking into 12 inch pizzas, including a limited-edition ‘Peach for the Moon’ pizza, made with prosciutto, peaches and basil.

Loved and consumed by millions, people around the world celebrate the mix of Cointreau, tequila and lime juice with a plethora of different takes on the margarita cocktail. The emblematic cocktail was first created in 1948, in Acapulco, by the American socialite Margaret Sames, who famously claimed “A margarita without Cointreau isn’t worth its salt”.

Nebula’s new menu includes The Original Margarita, as well as an ice cold Frozen Margarita, alongside four new cocktails: Summer on Venus, made with Cointreau, watermelon, lime and tequila; Nintendo Margarita, with Cointreau, tequila, agave and lime served on the rocks; Parsec Paloma, a summery take on the classic with Cointreau, grapefruit soda, tequila and basil; and a Café Negroni, a heady mix of Cointreau, coffee, bitters, vermouth and tequila.

To complete the all encompassing tropicana vibe, guests can look forward to specially curated music by Dante Gabriel aka Tenoshi, who has held DJ residencies at Glastonbury, The Eden Project’s acclaimed Eden Sessions and at The London O2 for Jamaica House during the London 2012 Olympics and Jamaica 50 celebrations.

Nebula is open from 4pm – 11pm on Tuesday to Friday, 12pm – 11pm on Saturday and Sunday. Every Tuesday Nebula offers unlimited pizza and a negroni for £10 per person.
