Why is it a winner?

Yin and yang, kit and kat, tim and tam – balance is very important in life as well as in food and the Fried chicken and waffles from Archie’s certainly fits the bill. Served with whipped chipotle butter and Canadian maple syrup, the balance between sweet and savoury, crispy and soft is just right. It’s a soul food classic for a reason, and seeing as most of us haven’t been able to get to the US for a while, because of you-know-what, it’s comforting to know that we just have to make it to Fitzroy to get our fix.
