Do reality show contestants really know how to cook? This week's must-try dish in Melbourne proves that at least one does...

Kim Tran might’ve come second on season nine of Channel Seven’s My Kitchen Rules, but her Williamstown Vietnamese restaurant has a pork dish we think is number one.

Is that the full name?
The pork dish on the menu is “Sticky pork ribs”.

Where do you get it?
Ms Kim, 147 Nelson Place, Williamstown VIC 3016

Why is it a winner?
On a cold winter’s night, we knew ordering a comfort dish like sticky pork ribs was a safe bet, but we were still blown away. The ribs themselves were so ridiculously tender that the knife was completely superfluous. They were coated in a sweet and sticky sauce that was not in any way cloying, and accompanied by a fresh apple salad that cut through that sweetness perfectly. If we were Manu, we would score it a 10 out of 10.

Anything else to know?
Do not skip dessert at Ms Kim. The banana fritter is a nostalgic trip, though it’s almost certainly better than the ones you remember from your local Chinese, and the sticky date pudding is much lighter than you’d probably expect. It comes with a coconut sauce that really makes the perfect end to your meal.
