MoVida joins Savor’s portfolio as the latest fire-cracker.
A known and loved name in the Australian, and more specifically Melbourne dining scenes, Aucklanders can now also enjoy MoVida’s deliciousness right here in downtown Britomart.
Specialising in Spanish flavours and culture, enjoy a slice of Spain today in their delightful presentations of tapas and sharing platters — a representation of the long-standing experience MoVida has had from the three Australian restaurants to bring over to Auckland as well.
Replacing the space previously occupied by Ostro, MoVida is led by award-winning chef Frank Camorra. Camorra honours the Spanish ingredients, with a vision built on a philosophy of delivering exceptional food to further introduce to us the missing bits of Spanish cuisine that the Auckland food scene is not really familiar with.
MoVida still combines the best of New Zealand ingredients as well. Seen in some of their classic dishes like anchovy with smoked tomato sorbet, the Bocadillo de calamares (calamari sandwich), or the wood-fire Spanish seafood paella; a seafood-lover’s dream.
The menu is simple yet innovative, filled with colour and guaranteed to go above expectations with some more unique flavour combinations in this globally acclaimed restaurant. The new MoVida location also incorporates a wood-fire oven that only features in the Auckland restaurant, is another representation of Camorra’s vision to push out and experiment with greater, better food for the people.
Where sharing plates was just a blooming idea twenty years ago, MoVida has truly grounded in its idea of the collaborative ambience and continues to create sharing-style plates from day one. That is success in itself.
Its gorgeous red-accented interior and bar layout contributes to MoVida’s vibrancy, a perfect accompaniment to the picturesque food. With their proven track-record already in Melbourne, MoVida will be the next dinner date success in the Auckland food scene.
Head down to 52 Tyler Street, Britomart, to try MoVida for yourself. The Melbourne tapas restaurant will be open Tuesday to Saturdays from midday.
