Eat your way around the globe without having to leave the comfort of Manchester! This city is a true foodie haven, showcasing a huge range of international restaurants and dishes. Whether you’re in the mood for an authentic Italian pizza, a traditional Chicken Tikka Masala or some perfectly crafted Polish pierogi – there’s really something for everyone in Manchester!
Platzki Restaurant was formed from a concept created by two food connoisseurs who took a humble Polish potato pancake and elevated it into something rather special. Fast forward to today, Platzki has become a well-loved restaurant in The Great Northern Warehouse, showcasing a range of traditional Polish dishes in a way which thrusts them into the culinary spotlight.
On the menu, you’ll find dishes such as hand-crafted pierogi, marinated pork loin, pan fried sea bass, confit duck legs and pearl barley risotto with seasonal accompaniments. Much like the food, the dining atmosphere is humble, homely and full of soul – a true delight.
Italian restaurant, Cibus, offers hearty Italian food, a glamorous cocktail list, and a warm, family-oriented dining atmosphere. Cibus pride themselves on using fresh, seasonal ingredients to recreate authentic, Italian dishes, ranging from much-loved classics to lesser known – but equally as delicious – regional delights.
Start your meal off with some cicchetti, or small plates, which are perfect for sharing or as appetisers. For the main course, there’s plenty of meat, fish, vegetarian and pasta options, and naturally, there’s a huge pizza menu with heaps of topping choices! And if you feel like soaking up the rays whilst sipping on an Aperol Spritz, Cibus has a lovely al-fresco dining area to relax in. When in Rome!
Bombay-inspired restaurant, Dishoom, is a real cult favourite with diners across the country and it’s not hard to see why. Featuring an incredible Indian and Iranian fusion menu packed full of delicious, aromatic dishes, opulent interiors with stained glass windows, and an exotic drinks menu with fancy cocktails, artfully selected wines, plus a range of IPAs and Indian lagers which go oh-so perfectly with a Ruby Murray!
The menu includes curry house favourites such as Chicken Tikka, Biryani and Masala Prawns plus plenty of signature meat, fish and vegetarian dishes. And for dessert, you simply must try Dishoom’s Chocolate Pudding served with Kashmiri chilli ice cream – it’s phenomenal.

In the mood for Greek food? Well, head on over to Dimitris in Deansgate for traditional Greek mezze, Mediterranean wines, and a vibrant Taverna-style atmosphere which will transport you straight to Mykonos! There are plenty of small plate options which are perfect for sharing with friends, and trying a little bit of everything on the menu!
Enjoy continental dishes like stuffed vine leaves, moussaka, kebabs, hummus and pitta bread, grilled halloumi, saganaki prawns topped with feta cheese, calamari and SO much more. If you feel like making a night of it Dimitris also hosts live music every weekend. And thanks to the late closing hours, you’ll be able to drink and dance the night away until 2:30am in true Greek style!
Fans of Japanese cuisine will absolutely adore Teppanyaki, an authentic Japanese teppanyaki and sushi restaurant located in Manchester’s Chinatown which boasts a truly unique dining experience. Their incredible sushi menu features maki rolls, nigiri and sashimi which is to die for, whilst the à la carte menu is packed full of perfectly prepared meat, fish, vegetarian, noodle and rice dishes.
There are also set menus if you’re looking to experience the best that Teppanyaki has to offer, including pan fried scallops, spicy calamari, chicken gyozas and crispy vegetable tempura. And if you’re looking for a real showstopper, you’ll be able to watch artful dishes be prepared in front of you on the grill by the incredible Chef Ronnie who puts on something of a flame-throwing spectacle!
