This establishment brings you the very best Antipodean coffee and food, meaning it’s a New Zealand and Australian-style coffee house. Their argument is that we are often on the opposite side of debates when it comes to music, sport and culture with Aussies and New Zealanders. However, Antipodean coffee is just way better than ours. Well, that is what they say anyway. We more or less agree! They did invent the flat white and long black coffees, so this is the place to get beautiful coffee with wholesome food served with Mancunian flare in a laid-back setting. But what about their smoothies? They are just as amazing as their coffee. The Blueberry Banana is full of splendid flavours and goodness. The Green Machine will keep you going for days as it includes avocado, coconut water, agave, pear and spinach. Meanwhile, The Nut Butter is just delicious as it is made with peanut butter, banana, chocolate powder, oat milk and agave. You should definitely try these out to start off with.

Situated in the heart of Prestwich, Pres is dedicated to providing the very best healthy food, nutritious smoothies and great pressed juices. With 12 smoothies available each for £5, the choice and quality are there for all to see at a reasonable price. They make all their juices and smoothies in the bar. Our favourites include number Five, that has pineapple, mango, banana and coconut milk and we love number One as well. This one has blueberries, banana, oats, maple syrup and chia seeds in it. From healthy and delicious smoothies to cleansing juices, this independent juice bar offers smoothies and juices that will aid your body and wellbeing. They do sit in and takeaway as they handily bottle up their juices.

Located in the Arndale, Fruteiro do Brasil serve brilliant smoothies, ice pops, yoghurts, sorbets and ice creams. All smoothies are made with beautiful Brazilian fruits. From Caju, Guava and Caja, to Acerola, Maracuja, Papaya and Soursop – you will struggle to find many of these Brazilian fruits in the rest of Manchester. The juice bar is a unique place as their only other locations are in Dubai, Milan and Abu Dhabi, so their Manchester juice bar is the only one in the UK! With no added sugars, colourings or preservatives their smoothies are all natural and delicious, made from fruit pulp.

We cannot recommend Fuel highly enough. Located in the middle of Withington, students and locals both adore this place. Fuel is a friendly vegetarian eatery and bar. From filling brunches to late night live music with a pint of Shindigger or a gorgeous cocktail, Fuel is a fun location for many different occasions. They offer a couple of great smoothies made by themselves. We highly recommend the blueberry and banana smoothie a lot. Set in a cosy and fun bar, having a smoothie here will wake you up and fuel you for the rest of your day – geddit?
