It was a long journey to their grand opening, but the seaside pouring house has really made a name for itself since their debut.
The little tavern sits in the heart of the city, on the corner of Little Queen Street and Quay Street, with plenty of outdoor seating to take advantage of the wondrous location. Take a seat on the terrace to watch the world go by or nab a cosy spot inside to soak in the lively atmosphere.
Reign and Pour, living up to its name, has a wide variety of NZ craft beers available, including Panhead, Harrington’s, Fermentist, and Emerson’s, with exciting guest tap collaborations such as Emerson’s teaming up with Reign and Pour to deliver limited releases all the way from Dunedin.
If cocktails are more your thing, Reign and Pour has a special surprise. The tavern is headed by Matt Nichols, who gets his background from Bedford Soda and Liquor, one of Auckland’s most beloved cocktail bars. Enjoy all the classics – the way they should be enjoyed.
For those wanting to really make an evening out of their visit to Reign and Pour, they’ve set up an extensive gastro-pub menu with a range of cuisines to suit every palette.
Mix and match starters for the table, choosing from a selection of tacos, fried chicken, flatbread, and seafood dishes, before adventuring into the mains and sharing boards. There certainly is something for everyone, with enough choice to require more than one visit.
Ideal for a casual after-work drink or those catch-ups where you just want everything to go smoothly, Reign and Pour brings a new element of exquisite cuisine and a knowledgable drinks list, all enjoyed in a cosy tavern setting, while still feeling first-class.
Come nighttime, Reign and Pour turns into Auckland’s hottest new bar and dance floor, with drinks flowing and good vibes all round.
Book in for your next drinks catch-up or boozy lunch and get to know your next local.
