London's best hot dog spots
Hot dogs may be most commonly associated with the US, but there is no shortage of them in the UK either. In fact, by the end of today’s guide, we think you will have developed a dogged determination to seek them out for yourself. So whichever dog is your god, we’ve got you covered! Enjoy our guide on some of the best hot dog spots in the capital.
Pop Dogs started as a hot dog market stall in Camden and is now an established franchise! It uses plant-based and cruelty-free sausages, as well as freshly baked buns to bring you a delicious hot dog experience.
The hot dogs are named as creatively as the ingredient mixes that go into them. The menu contains a 70-Year-Old Toddler, No Way Jose, Sloppy D, Nam Ban and a Fresh Prince. The 70-Year-Old Toddler is probably our favourite – smoked ‘pork’ sausage, caramelised onions, gherkins, sauerkraut, French mustard and ketchup. Dee-lish-us.
Engine Hot Dogs will give you a proper food truck experience. It operates from an old fire truck, thus its location isn’t fixed, but it does stick to London’s M25 area. The dogs are served in freshly baked bread and the sausages are award-winning. Combine this with homemade sauces and sustainable packaging, and you’ve got a hot dog that really ticks all the boxes!
Camden Diner features all the classic American diner cuisine we all know and love, including a menu section dedicated solely to burgers and hot dogs. There are corn dogs, classic dogs, vegan dogs and chilli cheese dogs. Now the first three are exactly what they sound like, but it’s the chilli cheese dog we’re here for. This is made up of a beef hot dog, short-rib beef chilli, caramelised onions and pickles. So, if you’re looking for somewhere that can fix you a dog with extra spice, look no further! You can also add jalapeños as an extra if you’re feeling courageous.
