From enjoying drinks in a pirate’s den to watching performers during dinner, it’s time to find your new favourite night out. There are a variety of wonderful and weird spots waiting for you to find right here in Liverpool.
If you’re looking for something a little different and you love pizza, then head over to Crazy Pedros. After its success story in Manchester, this quirky pizza establishment has made its mark in Liverpool. This is a party bar and pizza parlour all in one – what more could you want? Its interior is bright and wacky, and there’s also a roof terrace. The menu often changes, and you will find all sorts of funky pizza toppings such as shredded duck, sushi or chips. Book your table for something unexpected.
A bar with a ball pit? What more can we say, this is the best adult’s playground! If you fancy a tasty cocktail and then a dive into a ball pit, this is the place for you. As well as a giant ball pit, there are also several arcade games for you to have a play on. So, if you fancy something a little quirkier than just your average night out, head to Balls Deep.
One of the newer additions to Albert Dock is Madre, a tequila fuelled venue, specialising in delicious tacos, margaritas and craft beers. Here you’ll find tacos with beef, shrimp and pork, as well as amazing sharing plates like seabass divorciados and chicharrons. Madre has a huge covered outdoor area in the Atlantic Pavillion, which is Grade I listed. This is a go-to venue for dancing on tables, great drinks and tasty food.
The owners of this quirky restaurant opened it after being inspired by their trips to Switzerland, France, Austria, Italy and Alpine Germany. Albert’s Schenke specialises in simple and rustic inspired dishes from Bavaria. It resides on Hanover Street and combines Cook Haus and Bier Halle in rustic interiors, providing a menu with Alpine classics like black forest ham, Swiss raclette burgers, egg and chips, and schnitzels. In addition to this, the drinks selection includes bier, local brews and tipples from Bohemia and Munich. The bier in the city is thriving and here you can try it all.
Take a trip to the popular Albert Dock where you’ll find Smugglers Cove, a wonderland of rum, cocktail, seasonal chow and sea-dogs. Here you’ll be transported to a pirate’s dream restaurant. This is one of the biggest bars in Liverpool as well as one of the most unique. It’s decorated with vintage trinkets, coloured in deep browns and boasts interiors just like a pirate’s galleon. No matter where you sit in The Smugglers Cove, no corners are the same; the main hall is rich in velvets and candelabras, and the bar has cast iron booths, reeling ropes and a built-in piano. Rum is a huge statement at The Smugglers Cove, with a collection of 150 different bottles. These are then added to a range of cocktails like the Buccaneer with peach puree, raspberry liqueur and Sailor Jerry. If you also fancy something to eat, then there are many seasonal dishes to try like a steak and ale pie for just £10.95.
