Where to eat and drink in 48 hours in London

So, you’re going to spend 48 hours in London. Naturally, you need an exciting itinerary to make the most out of your time in the big city, especially when there’s so much to do here! It’s always essential to have some top-quality restaurants lined up to go with it, and that’s where we come in. Check out our plan for the best 48 hours in London.

The Coppa Club is perfect for your brunch! Not only is the Tower Bridge location only seven minutes from The Tower Hotel and four minutes from the nearest Premier Inn by foot, but it also has a beautiful floral sun-kissed terrace for you to enjoy your brunch in absolute serenity. So, why not grab one of the delicious crushed avocado and eggs on sourdough toast, or a healthy bowl of yoghurt and granola and an Americano to fuel you up for the first 24 of your 48 hours.

While you are in London, we recommend a trip to The National Gallery, and located just 42 minutes away is a fabulous open plan Lebanese restaurant called Maroush. This restaurant serves dishes like Shawarma Rotisserie and Kibbeh Saynieh. Maroush also has a strong professional relationship with its winegrowers to ensure the best quality to complement the astounding cooking. The quality of a meal here is worth the travel time.

Urban Golf
cuisinesSharing Plates, Street Food

Urban Golf is one of London’s best indoor golf simulator venues. It would make a tremendous competitive pit stop for you and any friends or family accompanying you during your 48 hours in London. If it’s just you, you could enjoy a golf lesson instead!

Urban Golf is just as good at cooking as providing great golf experiences. So if you want a snack before making your way to our next recommended restaurant, you could tuck into a chorizo sharing platter, salad or bowl of chips.

The Pear Tree
cuisinesModern Australian, Brunch

Located just 25 minutes from the Tate Modern and only 15 from Southwark Park, The Pear Tree is a great breakfast or brunch choice to start off your second 24 hours in the big city.

Jumpstart your day with French toast, blueberry pancakes or the big breakfast (crispy bacon, sage and pork sausage, grilled mushroom, roasted tomato, house-baked beans, black pudding, two eggs – choice of scrambled, fried or poached – and sourdough toast). We believe that food as exquisite as this can be considered art, and this may even rival the art of Tate Modern….

Why not celebrate the end of your 48-hour bonanza with some cocktails? Unity Diner is located 30 minutes away from TGI Fridays by public transport, so you’ll have a relatively easy commute after long hours exploring the city. Unity Diner isn’t just conveniently placed. It boasts a fantastic vegan burger, and serves other great food like Omni Pork Steak and Prawn Tempura.

Anyway, back to those cocktails we mentioned. Unity Diner has a signature cocktail menu with fascinating creations like When Pigs Escape, Forks Over Knives, and Piers Morgan’s Tears; this last drink comprises gin, pea flower tea, coconut liqueur, peach syrup, lime and tonic. Inventive and interesting, we love this place.
